Typographic 'New Series' follows the release of a previous sixteen 'Old Series' journals on design, typography and visual culture. The series is striking in its mix of insightful articles and illustrative pages, striking covers and mix of paper stocks. Many of these features some lovely material usage, with tip-ins and folds outs being used to great effect. The journal was founded, edited and designed by typographer Herbert Spencer. His attention to detail, both intellectually and graphically, can be seen throughout the 36 issues that were published thoughout its impressive 19 year run.
