IDEA / アイデア is a quarterly magazine dedicated to graphic design and typography. It was first published in 1953 in Tokyo, Japan by Seibundo Shinkosha Co.,Ltd, and is still going strong today. This issue stands out for its striking and colourful cover by Ikko Tanaka, and the special feature: The World of Symbols, a look at Ikko Tanaka's logos. These are printed large and supported by application photography. This is my favourite cover of IDEA magazine.

All photos are of the actual magazine for sale.
