IDEA / アイデア is a quarterly magazine dedicated to graphic design and typography. It was first published in 1953 in Tokyo, Japan by Seibundo Shinkosha Co.,Ltd, and is still going strong today. Idea magazine is also known for its Special Issues and Extra Issues, often dedicated to a single subject. Here, an Extra Issue is edicated to the works, mythologies and philosophies of American design studio Walter Landor Associates. Aside from profile and an interview with Walter Landor, the magazine is largely made up of corproate identity case studies with logo and applications. these a the highlight for me. Alonside this, there are features on working with international clients and a series of packaging projects undertaken by the company. Although the cover isn't striking, its content is thorough in its coverage of the subject.
