IDEA Extra Issue: Packaging & Corporate Identity
IDEA / アイデア is a quarterly magazine dedicated to graphic design and typography. It was first published in 1953 by Seibundo Shinkosha Co.,Ltd, and continues to publish today.
The "Extra Issue" was a series that ran parallel to Idea's quarterly magazine and explored a range of different topics and special interests. This Extra Issue takes a look into the world of American packaging and identity design and stands out for its mix of large full spread logo pages, colour photography of in-use logos and insight into the development of the design policy. There is a bit of range in the layouts, and indicative of each studio submitting its own page layouts, this lends this magazine a bit of quirky character.
