Trademarks & Symbols Volume 1, 1973
This is the first volume of Yasaburo Kuwayama's Trademarks and Symbols. Released as one edition in 1973 and with a special focus on "alphabetical" designs. The organisational principle is, as you'd expect, A-Z with plenty of examples of each letter to be inspired by.
The two volumes of Trademarks and Symbols proceeded and paved the way for Kuwayama's more substantial books Trademarks & Symbols of the World Volumes 1 and 2, which offered a far large set of logos, running to the thousands, and a concerted effort was made to provide complete information on each. Nonetheless, as a historical document, this book remains sought after, perhaps because of the striking colour and composition of logos on the cover.

Volume: 2
Author: Yasaburo Kuwayama
Format: Hardback

Condition: This copy is ex-library, and as such, has a number of stickers. These are on the spine and on the opening and last pages of the book. This last page also features a classic electronic punch card. A ink stamp has been applied to the top, bottom and leading edge of the book. To preserve the dust jacket, a clear outer has been applied and fixed to the book itself. The dust jacket can't be removed, however, is in good condition. Finally, an additional page has been added at the front that includes a sticker applied by the University library. It's a long list, but does little to really diminish the quality of the book, which is full of wonderful logos.
